Anuradha GurnaniAnu manages Project Raise in West Bengal and is working along with the Project Raise team on creating a replicable model for scaling it across India.

She has traversed a diverse educational and professional path in pursuit of her interests in the social and natural sciences including a Masters in Biology and Bachelors in Psychology.

Prior to ECF, Anu served as the Legal Coordinator at Manavi, the first organization in the United States dedicated to serving South Asian women experiencing violence. For five years, she also led the pro bono programme at Legal Services of New Jersey, a statewide public interest law firm providing free legal advice and representation to the economically vulnerable in New Jersey.

Anu loves being a part of ECF because she wants to invest her time and energy creating sustainable solutions for a just and equitable world. ECF’s work on gender and social change helps her to address the root causes of inequality.

 
An ambivert by nature, she enjoys listening to the sound of rain, exploring world music and snuggling with her beloved cat, Bodhi.
