As a part of the Communications Team, Rucha believes in the 3 C’s for better relationships with our partners, well-wishers and supporters- Communicate, Communicate, Communicate.
As a student researching Construction of Masculinity, Rucha was perplexed by the near absence of spaces which choose to look at men as potential allies and change-makers to end patriarchy. It was through a coincidence that she discovered ECF’s approach of working with men and boys, and has since joined us as a Communications Associate.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and has recently acquired a PG Diploma in Communication for Development from Xavier’s Institute of Communications, Mumbai. As an intern, she assisted NABARD to video-document their initiatives in the field of rural infrastructure development. Two of her short films were screened at the Mumbai International Film Festival, 2016. Prior to working with ECF, she worked in communications and fundraising in a Community Media Network.
Rucha is an ardent fan of Indian regional cinema, graphic novels, poetry and kittens.
A self-confessed dreamer, she’s sure that men’s solidarity in ending patriarchy will make our world a happier place to live in.
