Amar Dhaygude

Programme Mentor

Amar specializes in Family and Child Welfare and holds a Master’s degree in Social Work. He is disturbed by the breakdown of communication in families and the lack of openness, particularly when it comes to sexuality. “People don’t talk in their families,” he comments. “They are not comfortable talking openly about sexuality and boys find other sources of information that are not just misleading but dangerous.”

When not in the community conducting sessions with adolescent boys, Amar can be found recreating legendary recipes handed down over generations of his family, playing football, or exercising.
