Emily Rothman


Emily F. Rothman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences at the Boston University School of Public Health with a secondary appointment at the BU School of Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics. She is also affiliated with the Boston Medical Center Department of Emergency Medicine, and is a visiting scientist at the Harvard Injury Control Research Center (HICRC). She earned her doctorate from the Harvard School of Public Health in 2004, where her dissertation research focused on correlates of intimate partner violence perpetration, and where she was awarded the Martha May Eliot fellowship in Maternal and Child Health. She currently teaches SB 751: Sexual Violence Prevention, and SB750: Intimate Partner Violence Prevention.
