Rhea Banerjee

Programme Associate

Rhea holds a Masters in Social Work and specialises in Public Health. It was during her association with a juvenile detention centre for adolescent boys that she felt the need to work with this largely neglected section of society, missing from most development programmes. She believes that working with boys from an early age can make them a part of the solution towards ending Gender Based Violence.

Rhea loves the autonomy she has to choose her tasks and enjoys that her work is a combination of research analysis and field work. Rhea is also a cat mother and is devoted to the 2 year old she fondly calls Magurmaach (Catfish). She holds that he is the most gender-equitable cat there is and we have not dared to challenge it.
